The foundation of my work is a delight in exploring painting and printmaking as craft. I employ these rich mediums to physically evolve ideas and narrative as imagery.

This wood engraving, “Heart You”, came from wondering how my Grandparents could have exchanged ‘Edwardian Emojis’ to communicate with each other. In this increasingly digital world, it is very important to me that, having engraved the image onto the wood block, I hand-printed it using my wonderful Albion printing press, a survivor from 1854.
